We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Physics Lecturer to join our team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to inspire and engage students in the fascinating field of physics. As a Physics Lecturer, you will deliver dynamic lessons, foster critical thinking, and help students achieve their full potential in both theoretical and practical aspects of physics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning & Delivery: Design, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across various physics topics, including mechanics, electricity, magnetism, waves, and modern physics.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Develop and administer assessments to monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to promote academic growth and understanding.
  • Student Support: Offer individualised support to students, addressing their specific learning needs and helping them to succeed academically.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the physics curriculum, ensuring it is up-to-date with current trends and scientific advancements.
  • Practical Sessions: Oversee practical laboratory sessions, ensuring students can apply theoretical knowledge in hands-on experiments and activities.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation, inquiry, and exploration.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • A relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Proven experience teaching physics at the Further Education or higher education level.
  • Strong understanding of physics principles, theories, and practical applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A commitment to delivering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience teaching a range of physics topics to students of varying abilities.
  • Ability to integrate real-world examples and current scientific developments into lessons.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively manage classroom activities and academic responsibilities.
  • A proactive, student-centred approach to teaching and academic support.
  • Familiarity with the latest teaching tools, technologies, and resources to enhance student learning.
