Job Title: Maintenance Operative

Location: Wimbledon and Surbiton

Type: Temporary with a chance of going perm

Hours: Full-time including weekend, evenings and bank holiday

Hourly Rate: £15/hr including holiday pay

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

• Complete high-quality repairs and maintenance across the YMCA property
• Perform general maintenance jobs including painting, carpentry, ground work, and etc.
• Communicate with YMCA's customers, staff and external contractors
• Work with a team to deliver services
• Be responsible for property and building safety management
• Identify risk to property and report back to necessary channel
• Deliver property management service
• Attend training

Skills and Qualifications

• At least one year maintenance experience is preferred
• Ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
• Knowledge of building and construction
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
• Problem solving skills
• Good customer service skills
