Finance Officer

Morgan Hunt are working with a College based in South London who are looking at recruiting a Finance Officer. This is a 6 month contract role paying up to £18 p/hour. This will be based 5 days p/week in the office.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Officer:

• Process invoices, expense claims, and supplier payments in a timely manner.
• Manage the college's day-to-day cash flow and banking transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements on a monthly basis.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Generate reports on financial performance, identifying variances and areas for improvement.
• Support the year-end financial audit, ensuring all records are accurate and complete.
• Oversee student fee invoicing and collections, addressing any queries or issues.

Previous Skills and Experience of the Finance Officer:

• Minimum AAT qualified
• Must have experience working in the Further Education sector
• Reconciliations, budgeting and year end audit
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
