Are you a passionate and skilled graphics professional ready to shape the creative minds of the future? College based in stamford is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Graphics to deliver high-quality teaching and contribute to outstanding student outcomes within our dynamic creative arts department.
The Role
In this full-time permanent position, you will deliver and coordinate a range of Graphics courses, primarily at Level 3, with potential contributions to other related creative programmes. You will be actively involved in internal verification and moderation, as well as curriculum development and student support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, inclusive, and effective teaching in Graphics, ensuring high levels of student achievement and retention.
- Coordinate courses, providing academic leadership and support for learners and colleagues.
- Design and assess coursework to meet awarding body criteria and internal verification standards.
- Participate in the development of teaching materials, schemes of work, and online learning resources.
- Carry out student progress tracking, academic interventions, and reporting using ProMonitor or equivalent systems.
- Embed English, maths, and employability skills into teaching practice.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support enrichment activities and work-related learning opportunities.
Essential Criteria
- Level 5 Teaching qualification (e.g., DTTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed, or Diploma in Education and Training).
- Relevant Graphics qualification at Level 3 or higher (e.g., HND, degree, or equivalent professional industry qualifications).
- Internal Verifier awards and experience with assessment moderation.
- Minimum Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Experience delivering Graphics at Level 3, ideally in a Further Education setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
