Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Health and Social Care Lecturer to join a vibrant Further Education and Training College in South Essex. This role is offered on a temporary, ongoing basis and is ideal for individuals looking to make a real impact in the field of education.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Health and Social Care, alongside a genuine desire to help learners in achieving their educational goals. You will be required to deliver engaging and effective lessons to a diverse range of students, while also fostering a positive and cohesive learning environment.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Health and Social Care to Further Education students.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that meet the needs of students, ensuring that all learning materials are engaging and accessible.
  • Provide assessment, feedback and guidance to students to enhance their learning and development.
  • Maintain records of student progress and achievement, offering appropriate guidance where needed.
  • Adhere to all college policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider college community and participate in professional development activities.

Essential Criteria of a Health and Social Care Lecturer:

  • A UK recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS).
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care (degree or equivalent).
  • Experience as a Health and Social Care Lecturer at Further Education and Training level.
  • A passion for teaching and guiding students to reach their full potential.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with colleagues and students.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in teaching within a Further Education and Training setting.
  • Knowledge of current developments in the Health and Social Care sector.
