Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Disrepair Surveyor to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering a high-quality, resident-focused service. You'll work closely with internal and external legal counsel, contractors, and various internal departments to ensure a seamless and comprehensive disrepair service.
In this role, you'll manage complex disrepair cases, drive performance against KPIs, and make timely, decisive actions to resolve issues. You'll also engage in negotiations related to settlement and compensation, while handling financial forecasting and record-keeping. The ability to challenge claims when necessary, and provide detailed condition survey reports will be key.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of surveyors, coordinators, and assistants to meet targets daily.
- Deliver high-quality repair services and add value to the customer experience.
- Solve complex issues and ensure our resident's expectations are met.
- Contribute to the achievement of performance indicators and exceed targets.
- Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Promote diversity and inclusion to achieve better outcomes for residents and teams.
- Follow safeguarding protocols and comply with relevant policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, data protection, and statutory requirements.
What You'll Need:
- Good knowledge of building pathology.
- Membership of RICS, CIOB, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in property maintenance and a detailed knowledge of housing construction, disrepair, and service delivery.
- Strong ability to diagnose complex issues, prepare costed specifications, manage contracts, and ensure successful project delivery.
- In-depth understanding of legislation and codes of practice related to disrepair.
- Proficient in using IT tools, including Excel and Word, to produce reports and documentation.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
- A methodical and organised approach to managing workload and prioritising tasks.
