We are working closely with a FE college based in Cheshire. They are looking to appoint a Public Services Lecturer on Temporary basis, starting at the end of the April. There will be the possibility of a temp-to-perm. The position is 37 hours per week and likely to continue until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Design, prepare, and deliver comprehensive lessons across various public services topics, including public sector roles, government policies, legal frameworks, and emergency services.
- Assessment & Feedback: Develop and implement assessments to monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback to help students develop professionally and academically.
- Student Support: Provide individualised support to students, assisting them with academic challenges and guiding them toward successful careers in the public services sector.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the continuous development and enhancement of the public services curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and up-to-date with industry standards and legislation.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment, encouraging active participation and professional conduct.
- Industry Collaboration: Stay informed of industry trends, policies, and developments to provide students with current, real-world knowledge and case studies.
Requirements:
- Teaching qualification.
- Relevant subject qualification.
- Experience teaching public services to FE
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
