We are seeking a passionate and experienced WEX (Work Experience) Advisor and Assessor to support our Early Years students. As part of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for guiding students through their work placements, assessing their progress, and ensuring they meet the required standards in the Early Years sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to Early Years students securing work placements, helping them to identify suitable opportunities that align with their career goals.
  • Assess students' work experience and provide constructive feedback to enhance their development in real-world early years settings.
  • Monitor students' progress during their work placements, ensuring they meet both academic and practical competencies.
  • Liaise with employers to ensure placements meet the requirements of the curriculum and industry standards.
  • Support students with reflective practices, preparing them for assessments, and assisting with the development of portfolios.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of work placement documentation, including reports and assessment tools.

Essential Criteria:

  • A relevant qualification in Early Years or a related field (Level 3 or higher).
  • Experience working within the Early Years sector.
  • Strong knowledge of current Early Years practices, policies, and regulations.
  • A recognised assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and support student development.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience as a Work Experience Advisor or Assessor.
  • Knowledge of assessment and quality assurance processes within the Early Years sector.
  • Understanding of vocational qualifications and apprenticeships.
  • A teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS or equivalent).
