Hairdressing & Barbering Lecturer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Hairdressing & Barbering Lecturer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education and training to students pursuing careers in hairdressing and barbering.




Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and professional lessons in hairdressing and barbering, following curriculum guidelines.
• Provide practical demonstrations and support students in achieving industry-standard skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
• Develop and update course materials to ensure they align with current trends and best practices in the industry.
• Maintain a safe and professional learning environment, ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Support students in preparing for assessments, exams, and industry placements.

Essential Criteria:

• Recognised qualification in Hairdressing or Barbering (Level 3 or equivalent).
• Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Extensive professional experience within the hairdressing and/or barbering industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for education and helping students succeed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience in teaching or training.
• Knowledge of the latest trends and techniques in hairdressing and barbering.
• Familiarity with relevant assessment processes and procedures.
