Hairdressing & Barbering Lecturer
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Hairdressing & Barbering Lecturer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education and training to students pursuing careers in hairdressing and barbering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and professional lessons in hairdressing and barbering, following curriculum guidelines.
- Provide practical demonstrations and support students in achieving industry-standard skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
- Develop and update course materials to ensure they align with current trends and best practices in the industry.
- Maintain a safe and professional learning environment, ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Support students in preparing for assessments, exams, and industry placements.
Essential Criteria:
- Recognised qualification in Hairdressing or Barbering (Level 3 or equivalent).
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Extensive professional experience within the hairdressing and/or barbering industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for education and helping students succeed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in teaching or training.
- Knowledge of the latest trends and techniques in hairdressing and barbering.
- Familiarity with relevant assessment processes and procedures.
