About the Role:
Are you passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation of Health & Social Care professionals? Do you have experience in the sector and a desire to share your knowledge and skills with students? We are looking for a dedicated Health and Social Care Lecturer to join a vibrant team at a leading Further Education and Training College, located in the heart of South London.

As a Health and Social Care Lecturer, you will be delivering high-quality, engaging lessons to students studying at various levels, including GCSE, BTEC and Access courses. You will help shape students' personal and academic development, providing them with the tools to pursue a rewarding career in Health & Social Care.


Key Duties of a Health and Social Care Lecturer:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of Health and Social Care topics.
  • Prepare and assess student coursework, projects, and exams.
  • Provide guidance to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and improvement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and staff development activities.

Essential Criteria:

  • A degree or relevant qualification in Health and Social Care, or a related subject.
  • Full UK recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in delivering Health and Social Care education at a further education and training level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the sector.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (mandatory requirement).

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in the further education and training sector, teaching HSC.
  • Familiarity with a range of learning resources and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Previous experience in assessment, including preparing students for exams.
