English Lecturer - GCSE
Morgan Hunt are working with a leading Further Education College based in West Midlands. We are recruiting for an experienced English Lecturer to teach full time delivering English (GCSE).
Role: English Lecturer
Location: West Midlands
Job Type: Temporary - Ongoing
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English at a range of levels, including GCSE and Functional Skills
- Develop, plan, and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners
- Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching practices and outcomes
- Participate in academic and pastoral support for students
- Uphold high standards of teaching and learning across all English courses
What we're looking for:
- Staff member must have experience teaching GCSE English Language - preferably the Pearson's English Language 2.0 specification (although this isn't essential).
- Degree in English or relevant subject and Level 5 or above teaching qualification
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- A commitment to continuous professional development
