English Lecturer

Are you passionate about helping learners develop their language and literacy skills? We're looking for a dedicated English Lecturer to join a dynamic college in Chelmsford, teaching GCSE and Functional Skills English to learners aged 16-18 and adult students.

• Salary: Up to £40 per hour (hourly paid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills English, tailored to meet learners' needs
• Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
• Create an inclusive learning environment that encourages learners to achieve their potential
• Track and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to help them succeed
• Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and assessments

What We're Looking For:

• Relevant qualifications in English Language or English Literature
• Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• Experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills English (desirable but not essential)
• A passion for education and supporting learner progression
