Discover how Kirklees College has transformed student and staff wellbeing using a trauma-informed, restorative approach. A trauma-informed approach recognises the impact of past trauma on an individual’s behaviour and wellbeing, fostering a supportive environment that prioritises empathy, understanding, and resilience.
In this webinar, Polly Harrow, Assistant Principal and DfE FE Student Support Champion, Philippa Lucarz, Executive Director of People & Culture, and Carlie Smith, Safeguarding and Behaviour Manager, will share their experiences and insights from rolling out this approach across the college.
What we’ll cover:
- Student Wellbeing: Practical strategies to support student mental health and promote positive behaviour
- Staff Wellbeing: How a trauma-informed culture can enhance employee wellbeing and resilience
- Restorative Practices: Insights into how restorative approaches strengthen relationships and create safer environments
- Lessons from Implementation: Challenges, successes, and key takeaways from Kirklees College’s experience
Whether you're an education leader, HR professional, or safeguarding specialist, this session will provide actionable insights for fostering wellbeing in your organisation.
