About the Role:
My client are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Citrix Engineer to manage and maintain the Citrix VDI infrastructure and services. In this role, you will work closely with the Architecture, Service Delivery, Service Desk, and the wider Technology Department to ensure the efficient administration of Citrix infrastructure, handling its full lifecycle from operations to project delivery. You will also be responsible for managing the Citrix Work Plan and driving the execution of the annual Continuous Service Improvement Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage Citrix infrastructure operations and service management.
  • Oversee Citrix-related incidents and tasks via ServiceNow, ensuring resolution within SLA targets.
  • Manage the Citrix Work Plan, including maintenance and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Assess client needs to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and partners to support Citrix environments.
  • Create and review change requests in support of both project and operational needs.
  • Contribute to and maintain documentation for design, end-user operations, and infrastructure.
  • Produce detailed reports on infrastructure operations, major incidents, and service health.
  • Support communication efforts for maintenance, change, and project-related activities.
  • Maintain Citrix monitoring, reporting systems, and ensure security and governance of the environment.
  • Ensure that backup, disaster recovery, and resilience processes are robust and effective.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix Cloud, Active Directory, Group Policies, Citrix Profile Management, Provisioning Services, NetScaler, VMware ESX, and networking.
  • Experience in applications packaging, databases, storage, networking, and security.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site Citrix infrastructure operations, including service upgrades and migrations.
  • Experience with Control Up and familiarity with ITIL environments and processes (preferably using ServiceNow).
  • Citrix certifications at the Professional level are highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel to other office locations and work outside regular hours when necessary.

  • Experience in project management and delivery.
  • Experience with Control Up monitoring tools.
  • Citrix certifications at the Professional level.
