Homelessness Team Leader - Kingston

A Homelessness Team Leader is required to work on a rolling contract for a homelessness charity based in Kingston.

This role is 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.


Responsibilities:

· Take the lead in managing the Resettlement Service, HMOs, RSI properties, and floating support service.

· Make sure that clients who have been assigned are placed in accommodations that meet their stated needs while adhering to the support plans and licence agreement.

· In collaboration with the landlords and health and safety representatives, maintain a safe and suitable physical environment for employees and service users; maximise rental income and decrease arrears while keeping correct records.

· Line management accountability for employees of the service and other related projects.

· Make sure that employees conduct proper assessments and client casework on a regular basis, adopting an integrated strategy for the support services that employees from various services provide.

· Take part in frequent evaluations of clients' cases; oversee the service's case management procedure and guarantee that clients receive the right amount of help and support.


Experience Required:

· A fundamental understanding of relevant laws, such as those pertaining to housing and welfare benefits.

· To be accountable and responsible for being a part of a productive staff team and making sure that the Tenancy Support employees have strong line management.

· Strong IT abilities with the capacity to quickly and accurately capture data on IT platforms like Inform and CHAIN.

· To be accountable and responsible for providing homeless individuals with high-quality tenancy support/resettlement, housing, and move-on services.

· The capacity to function as a member of a management team while upholding productive working relationships with clients, coworkers, the community, and other outside organisations.

· Understanding of the laws and resources available to homeless people in the areas of housing, health, employment, and immigration.
