My client, a leading UK based Charity, are currently seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer within their Data, Digital, and Technology department. This is a fantastic opportunity to support, optimise, and safeguard hybrid IT infrastructure while contributing to impactful projects.
About the Role
As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
- Support, maintain, and enhance hybrid IT systems across multiple locations.
- Deliver industrial-strength identity, account, and endpoint management.
- Collaborate with the Service Delivery Team to ensure effective incident management and exceptional service request outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with industry-standard security and data protection measures.
- Play a key role in implementing and supporting IT infrastructure for major projects, including seasonal events.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for hybrid office infrastructures, including on-premise and cloud systems.
- Implement and maintain cyber security infrastructure to meet Cyber Essentials Plus standards.
- Support voice and data platforms, including proactive monitoring and patch management.
- Manage identities and licenses within the Microsoft stack (365, Azure, Entra, Dynamics, SharePoint).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the user experience.
- Liaise with third-party contractors to ensure smooth operations and support.
- Contribute to ITIL processes for change control, configuration, and asset management.
About You
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a 3rd line support engineer, handling escalations and major incidents.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Azure, EntraID, InTune, Defender, and the 365 Stack.
- Knowledge of networking, including IP addressing, VLANs, TCP/IP, and MPLS.
- Hands-on experience with patch management and OS/application deployment tools.
- In-depth understanding of cyber security technologies, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, and antivirus management (Microsoft Defender).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to create high-quality technical documentation.
Desirable:
- Technical certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or ITIL accreditation.
- Experience in PowerShell scripting and automation.
Additional Information
- Some evening and weekend work may be required, particularly during the Christmas period.
- Occasional travel to London offices and regional sites may necessitate overnight stays.
