Interim Assistant Development Accountant
Morgan Hunt are working with a Housing Association in Central London who are looking to recruit an Interim Assistant Development Accountant. This is a 3 month contract role paying up to £30 p/hour. This role will require 3 days p/week in the office.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Development Accountant:
- Maintain Project Accounts: Manage and oversee the organisation's project financial records, ensuring development finance activities are optimised and aligned with operational goals.
- Deliver Financial Support: Provide practical financial advice to project managers, improving decision-making for housing and commercial property developments.
- Promote Collaboration: Foster effective communication between departments and with external partners, building strong and productive relationships.
- Support Informed Decisions: Work with Treasury and Appraisal teams to ensure financial strategies are based on accurate data and analysis.
- Streamline Reporting: Continuously improve reporting processes to meet the evolving needs of the development team, providing clear and relevant financial insights.
Previous Skills and Experience of the Assistant Development Accountant:
- Experience within a housing association or other public sector organisations.
- Experience with Management Accounts, Budgets, Forecasting and Month end processes.
- Part-qualified or actively studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CCAB)
- Excellent IT, communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
