Role: Specialist Technician - Music & Performing Arts

Job Type: Permanent

Pay rate: upto £27,000 per annum

Hours: Full time

Location: Newcastle College

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting the Resource Coordinator/Manager in ensuring the effective running of workshops and Real-World Environments (RWE).
• Managing resources, external hires, stock control, health and safety, maintenance, and procurement.
• Independently supervise student learning in workshops, RWE areas, or other learning situations.
• Ensuring students comply with Health and Safety regulations, including conducting risk assessments, is a key part of this role.
• Delivering high-quality technical support and undertaking a full range of associated administration

Skills & experience

• Relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations is essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in a performing arts or educational environment is highly desirable.
