Financial Controller – Advertising – ACA 2005 - £80,000 + bens
  • Managed accounting, transaction centre and financial systems teams of 28 staff though period of change.
  • Produced management accounts, capital and project expenditure reports and Board commentaries for seven operating divisions, ten functions and approximately 25 projects.
  • Managed audit process, prepared statutory financial reports (including consolidation) and main contact for Group Finance, FP&A and Tax
Finance Manager – TV Production – CIMA 2009 - £50,000 + bens
  • Management of monthly cash flows, analysis and commentary
  • Providing relevant departments with high level analysis and assisting in commercial decision making
  • Quarterly management accounts
  • Annual statutory accounts under UK GAAP
  • Analysis of monthly/quarterly results against the plan
Commercial Accountant – Film – ACCA 2008 - £48,000 + bens
  • Prepared, produced and detailed review and analysis of quarterly forecasts and budgets on a title by title basis for the DVD division
  • Prepared the monthly sales accrual for submission to LA executives
  • Liaised with the sales team to report and analyse any potential risk or opportunity to the monthly accrual
  • Analysed and weekly reported month and year to date performance of the business based on sales forecasts and actual sales to provide a business view of the current position
  • Advised Senior Management and LA executives on the UK business performance against current forecasts and budgets
Financial Accountant  - SME Publishing background – CIMA 2010 - £42,000 + bens
  • Production and review of management accounts with a £6 million turnover
  • Budget preparation and monthly flexing in line with production schedules
  • Balance sheet review and reconciliation
  • Completion, reconciliation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Relocating to London
